Refunds & Return Policy

SnagTheBag offers a limited selection of pre-owned luxury handbags. Because each piece is unique and pre-owned, our return policy is designed to provide customers with appropriate purchase protection while recognizing the individual characteristics of vintage and pre-owned goods.

Limited Return Policy

All sales are considered final except as expressly provided in this policy.

We encourage customers to carefully review all product photographs, descriptions, dimensions, condition notes, and included accessories prior to purchase. If you have questions about an item or would like additional photographs before purchasing, please contact us.

5-Day Limited Return Window

SnagTheBag provides a limited 5-day return window for qualifying authenticity concerns or material discrepancies between the item received and the item represented in its product listing.

A return request must be submitted within 5 calendar days of confirmed delivery and must involve one of the following:

  • A qualifying authenticity claim, supported by a written determination from a recognized professional authentication service, in accordance with our Authenticity Guarantee below.

  • A material and objectively verifiable discrepancy between the item received and its product listing, such as significant undisclosed damage, an undisclosed alteration, or another significant condition issue that existed at the time of sale and was neither disclosed nor reasonably visible in the listing photographs.

A difference in subjective interpretation does not constitute a material discrepancy. This includes differences of opinion regarding overall condition, degree of wear, patina, texture, structure, signs of use, age-related characteristics, or other characteristics reasonably represented through the listing description and photographs.

Returns will not be accepted for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse

  • Fit, size, weight, or styling preferences

  • Minor variations in color or appearance resulting from lighting, photography, device settings, or screen display

  • Wear, characteristics, or imperfections disclosed in the listing or reasonably visible in the product photographs

  • Differences in subjective assessment of an item's condition

  • Naturally occurring characteristics, patina, or age-related changes consistent with pre-owned or vintage items

All return requests are subject to review under the terms of this policy.

Discretionary Return Requests

In limited circumstances, SnagTheBag may choose to approve a return that does not otherwise qualify under our 5-Day Limited Return Window. Any such approval is made solely at SnagTheBag's discretion on a case-by-case basis and does not create an obligation to approve similar requests in the future.

Discretionary returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 10% of the purchase price. Any applicable fee will be disclosed before the return is authorized.

Return Requests

To initiate a return request, please contact hello@snagthebag.com within 5 calendar days of confirmed delivery and include:

  • Your order number

  • Item name

  • Reason for the return request

  • Any supporting documentation relevant to your request

We may request additional photographs, documentation, or information as part of our review.

Do not return an item without prior authorization. If a return is approved, SnagTheBag will provide return instructions.

Refunds & Restocking Fees

For an approved return, the item must first be received and inspected by SnagTheBag to confirm that it is the same item originally sold and remains in the same condition in which it was shipped.

Qualifying returns resulting from a confirmed authenticity issue or material discrepancy will receive a full refund of the purchase price and any original standard shipping charge paid to SnagTheBag.

Discretionary returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 10% of the purchase price. Any applicable restocking fee will be disclosed before the return is authorized.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Please allow up to 5 business days after approval and inspection for SnagTheBag to initiate the refund. Additional processing time may be required by your bank or payment provider.

Return Shipping

For discretionary returns, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

For an approved return resulting from a confirmed authenticity issue or qualifying material discrepancy, SnagTheBag will provide return shipping instructions.

All returns must be shipped using a trackable method and adequately insured for the value of the item. SnagTheBag is not responsible for return shipments sent without authorization or contrary to the provided return instructions.

Condition of Returned Items

Returned items must be received in the same condition in which they were originally shipped and must include all accompanying accessories and inclusions.

Returns may be declined if inspection identifies:

  • Additional wear, use, or damage not present when the item was shipped

  • Alterations, repairs, cleaning, conditioning, or modifications of any kind

  • Missing accessories or inclusions, including keys, clochettes, straps, dust bags, boxes, authenticity cards, certificates, or other items included with the original purchase

If a returned item does not meet these requirements, SnagTheBag reserves the right to deny the refund and return the item to the customer.

Authenticity Guarantee

Authenticity is guaranteed for every item sold by SnagTheBag. All items undergo a multi-point authentication process before being offered for sale.

Any authenticity claim must be submitted to SnagTheBag within 5 calendar days of confirmed delivery.

To qualify for review under SnagTheBag's Authenticity Guarantee, an authenticity claim must be supported by a written authentication determination from Entrupy or LegitGrails, our recognized professional authentication services. Authentication opinions, determinations, or assessments from other services will not automatically qualify under this guarantee.

Opinions or assessments from private individuals, resellers, collectors, social media accounts, online forums, discussion groups, or online communities, including Reddit, Facebook groups, Instagram accounts, or similar platforms, are not recognized as professional authentication determinations under this policy.

If a qualifying authenticity claim is submitted, SnagTheBag may require the item to be returned for inspection and re-authentication. Upon receipt, SnagTheBag will verify that the item is the same item originally sold and remains in the condition in which it was shipped before completing its review.

An inconclusive or unable-to-authenticate determination does not, by itself, establish that an item is inauthentic. In such circumstances, SnagTheBag may obtain an additional independent professional authentication opinion before reaching a final determination.

If, following review and re-authentication, the item is determined to be inauthentic, SnagTheBag will accept the return and issue a full refund.

Nothing in this Authenticity Guarantee limits any rights or remedies available to customers under applicable law.
